Sure, it’s sunny and warm as ever, but a climate shift is already happening at stores here in S.D.: All those SALE placards have been replaced with signs blaring the word NEW.

That’s right, stores have received their shipments for fall, and we’re eager to dive into the knit and leather splendor. So we stopped into Nordstrom Fashion Valley, known locally for its spectacular Designer Preview, to find out the standout pieces for fall across the departments.

From distressed Jimmy Choo men's boots (that are selling well!) to cocktail frocks in wine hues to “bottle-green” blazers, these are the pieces — and their corresponding trends — you’ll need to look crisp for fall.
